ARICA - NATIONAL PARK LAUCA - LAKE CHUNGARA - ARICA
We will depart from you hotel between 07:00 and 07:30am. The tour starts through the Lluta Valley, where you can observe ancient geoglyphs (1.000 b.C.). We pass the village Poconchile, the Copaquilla Fort and the Tambo of Zapahuira, where we have breakfast. After a short stop at the picturesque viewpoint of Putre we will enter the National Park Lauca, known for its exotic flora and fauna as well as impressive landscapes. You will see the Payachatas and the Lake Chungara, the highest unnavigabe lake in the world (4.517 m over sea level).
On the way back, we will stop at the lagoons of Cotacotani and make a brief visit to the villages of Parinacota and Putre to have lunch. Then we return to Arica on the same route. We will be back by around 20:30hrs.
